Mon Bel Ami - No Cheesy Vegas Wedding for Us!
Date: 07/16/09
User: wildwedding

Summary: Elvis is in the building!! You can have Elvis come and sing and still not have a cheesy wedding!

Content: When he proposed to me, he told me he wanted to get married in Vegas. I was absolutely opposed to it and said positively no. Well, when we finally set a date and I started all the planning, well, it just wasn't fun. It was frustrating and for what I wanted to spend, it was going to end up being a second rate if not tacky wedding. I relunctantly conceded to a Vegas wedding and after a little research, I came across Mon Bel Ami and I felt much better about the idea. It looked quaint and elegantly decorated and I was impressed with the packages and pricing they had to offer. The stress of making all arrangements via long distance were completely put to rest by Cheri, my wedding consultant. She was awesome to work with. She's personable, professional, knows her stuff and is fun. She did not mind my numerous calls and emails. Not once did she try to pressure me to purchase more services or a larger wedding package. In answer to all my questions regarding the ceremony or reception were, "it's your day, you can have it however you want" and she worked with me all the way to the last detail. I was so comfortable working with her and by the end, you could tell she had added special touches to various aspects of the ceremony and reception. I cannot sing praises enough about her and the rest of the chapel staff. Per my fiance's request, we did have Elvis - he walked me down the aisle and sang 3 songs during the ceremony - other than that bit of Vegas fun, the ceremony was beautiful and meaningful. My request was the dove release and I want to tell you, it really made the occasion that much more special. Basically, you can start off with a package and change/add whatever your budget will allow. I think they had the most to offer in their packages and were flexible and willing to work with us to make our day a special memory and the way we wanted it to be. The photographer was very good and the photos came out great. We had a dream wedding and fun small reception for what I consider to be at a very low cost. We would not have had such a beautiful wedding at home for what we spent here. Both of us and everyone that was able to attend are still talking about what a great time we had. My now husband will never let me forget that I did not want a Vegas wedding!!! PS - if you choose this chapel, ask for Cheri to be your wedding consultant and tell her the Wild's sent you. Ecstatically happy, Theresa Wild.
